Bottle feeding neonatal kittens and young kittens
Transitioning a neonatal kitten from a syringe onto a bottle, or using a bottle on a recently orphaned kitten can be difficult. At first they may reject this new teat as it’s not what they are used to, but persistence is key! Once the kitten adjusts to the teat they will usually feed quite well.
It's also important to make sure there are enough holes in the teat if it doesn't already come with a pre-made hole as a kitten is more likely to latch onto a new teat if they can easily receive the milk.
