The Kitten Formula Debate: which is better?

Updated: Dec 10, 2018

Using the right kitten formula can be the difference between a kitten thriving or becoming quite sick. There are a huge range of kitten formulas on the market, however not all of them actually meet the dietary requirements of neonatal kittens...

Some formulas claim to be a broad spectrum milk replacement for animals such as cows, lambs, puppies and kittens, but how can a growing kitten have the same requirements of a growing lamb or cow? A simple answer- they don’t!

How do I know what's good? The only way to know whether the formula is suited for kittens is to check whether levels such as fat, protein and taurine are sufficient for growing kittens, but even that can be difficult to determine and most people don’t have the time to investigate such matters.

For this reason, I use the Wombaroo Cat Milk Replacer. It has been specially designed for kittens to closely resemble cat’s milk, as well as the benefits of added vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids. By using this formula, I know that I am feeding my kittens a high quality milk and giving them the best start in life.
